English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the 2025 Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

The trio have been celebrated for their outstanding achievements over the previous year.

Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a record-breaking innings.

Littler won the award in 2024 after his sensational debut year.

The shortlisted athletes were announced live on a popular morning radio program.

This year's winner will be revealed live on the annual sports awards show on December 18th.

The event will be aired from 19:00 GMT.

Michelle Agyemang

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Only 90 days after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to European Championship victory.

She entered the fray to score key tying goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final.

These match-saving moments led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.

Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the best young player in Europe.

She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.

Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.

"Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a privilege," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."

The Darts Prodigy

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler's 2025 began in spectacular fashion as - while still 17 - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.

He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.

He didn't stop there - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the first time.

At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, smashing the previous record.

"Earning a spot on the shortlist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a big honour," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a highlight for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."

The Cricket Sensation

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and burst into the spotlight with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.

Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.

It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.

Perrin ended up as runner-up in the batting rankings and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

"I'm truly honoured to be nominated for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it motivates more girls to get into cricket."
